Little Mushroom
Little Mushroom is exactly what it sounds like — a single mushroom on the forest floor, painted big enough to really see it.
I loved the way the golden cap catches the light against all that dark earth and fallen leaves. The little star-shaped grasses at the base are what made me stop and want to paint it in the first place. Oil on canvas let me get into all that texture — the ridges on the stem, the scattered leaves, the dark forest floor underneath.
Original oil on canvas
20 x 20 inches
Framed in natural wood
Ready to hang
