Woven started with a fabric pattern — the way colors layer and intersect in textile design translated surprisingly well into paint.
Working large gave me room to let the brushstrokes do the work. Blues, greens, whites, and earthy golds move across the canvas in horizontal bands that feel both structured and loose at the same time. It’s one of my more abstract pieces and one I really enjoyed making.
